Poem

The Value of a Man - by Paul Ginz

Only a fool will swim with the noxious tide

Abetting the extinction of a genders pride

Femininity and respect are disappearing

Into the jaws of linguistic fascism and social engineering

The sedation of chemistry burns as toxic alchemy

Men are assessed on monetary standing and peerage

Belittled by advertisements on TV

Looked down upon as steerage

Demanding a percentage of executive jobs

Is this not a sexist view?

I hear no volunteers for the dangerous tasks

Which men invariably do

Lets recall the medical breakthroughs by Pasteur

The invention of aeroplanes and the electric light

Pardon me for asking

But was there a woman in sight?

Harsh words aside, both sexes should revere each other

Appreciating what both can give

Disposing of the trends to drink and rebuke

Only then can we begin to live.
