The UK Men's Movement has made considerable efforts to obtain the assistance of the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) for problems faced by men in this country (e.g. family issues, pensions, and welfare). These efforts have proved almost entirely fruitless. Typically when men have made complaints of discrimination to the EOC they have conveniently denied the EOC has any remit in that area.
As a result of the contacts the UKMM has had with the EOC, we feel justified in stating :
How can an organization that: has 80% female staff, has never had a male head, and that ignores discrimination against men; claim equality. Unless the EOC can be reformed root-and-branch, it should be abolished.
