Objectives of the UKMM

The statement of objectives is made under each of the areas of concern.

Education

Both genders to have equal access to education. Programmes of "affirmative action" and "positive discrimination" in favour of either sex will not be allowed. An end to gender discrimination in teacher recruitment.

Employment

True equality of opportunity in: admission standards, training, and employment to be available. Conditions of employment to be identical for both genders. Efforts will be applied to generate wealth creating manufacturing industry.

Taxation

Taxation rules not to discriminate against either gender. System of taxation designed to support and encourage traditional two parent families.

Social Security

Social Security provisions to not discriminate against either gender Social security provisions will encourage the family unit.

Pensions and age-based benefits

Identical state pension ages and pension rights with retirement at age 60. Viewed as an investment, men will receive equal return from their pensions. Identical social security provisions, allowances, and priviledges based on pension age (e.g. bus passes).

Health Care

Equal health care treatment and resourcing, particularly in preventative healthcare (e.g. trim trails). Screening programmes to be made available for the main gender specific diseases (e.g. male cancers). Men's health, currently underesourced to be equally resourced.

Matrimonial and Family Law

Equal rights will be provided over children and finance i.e. 50/50 shared physical residence will be the default. No one to profit from divorce, and assets before the marriage to be kept and assets built up during the marriage to be split 50/50 on an equitable basis. Maintenance for ex-spouses will be abolished. All maintenance for children will be based on objectively defined needs of the cost of maintaining children only, and will be fully accountable.

Perjury will not be condoned or rewarded. No fault divorce will be abolished. The Child Support Act will be repealed and the Agency removed. Secret hearings will be abolished. Family law will be made simple and fair with no room for Judicial reinterpretation. Men and women will be informed of their rights and responsibilities before they marry. This contract will not be alterable.

Those men whose lives have been damaged by the malpractices and corruption of the last generation will receive full compensation. It will be necessary to bring those responsible for the present corruption to account in order to prevent future re-occurence.

Civil Law

Both genders to receive equal treatment in civil law cases. Uncorroborated evidence will not be accepted in court. Civil issues in which the consequences for the parties are as severe as those in criminal cases will require evidence with the same burden of proof.

Criminal Law

Sentencing will be equal between men and women. No sex to receive lenient treatment using excuses such as damage to their children etc. False allegations or rape or sexual harassment will be considered serious issues punishable by an identical sentence.

'Women only' Syndrome

'Single gender' sessions will not be permitted in publically funded institutions (e.g. in libraries, swimming pools etc.) unless for publically accepted reasons of decency (e.g. public conveniences).

Media Representation

Denigration of either sex will not be allowed. A right of reply law will guarantee that a response will be published if requested.

Representation in Women's and Men's Groups

The public funding of gender specific groups must be publicised with the amount and the reason. Those bodies providing funding to such groups will be made aware of the uses made of the money.

Representation in Parliament and Government etc.

There will be either no special representation for women e.g. women-only shortlists, and no Minister for Women without a Minister for Men.

The Equal Opportunity Commission will be abolished, or made undertake its duties correctly i.e. deal with discrimination against men.

Legal Protection Against Discrimination

Human Rights laws will be correctly implemented, and all Protocols of the European Convention, particularly Article 14 and Article 5 of Protocol 7 will be fully respected. The bodies interpreting Human Rights laws will be required to operate correctly under their own rules of procedure.

Constitutional law

The constitution will be amended to provide for equal representation of men's issues in Parliament and Government. Genuine equality in all areas of life will be upheld by the constitution.
