False allegations by women

A typical case, in its effect on the man. But untypical in the man's response. At least he wasn't convicted, although his life was seriously damaged.

Will she be prosecuted for perjury, and will he obtain compensation for the loss of his job ?

If perjury were proven, as it seems to have been, will he obtain compensation from the Criminal Injuries scheme ?

A little more of the truth comes out - as a judge asks for a register of women who make false allegations. He is immediately attacked by 'campaign groups' - presumable entirely women's groups and including yet another women's group mentioned - Rights of Women.

Interesting aspects of the report include :

  • Rights of Women stated that "the law is already so weighted against women"
  • that the rights of men in such situations is never mentioned.

Is this fair reporting by Andrew Hibberd ?

Comment : A judge has asked for this, but when will we have it ? - and other measures in other areas to protect men.
