As a response to the feminist BBC Women's Hour, there will be a regular Men's Hour available on the internet.

The programmes are available at www.menshour.com, in both Windows Media Player and RealPlayer formats.

I am looking for some interviews [e.g. at this Saturday's protest] with a view to base the pilot programme around [Mark Harris's and other] stories. I urgently want to hear from possible contributors about that.
I am on the lookout for more facilities and help. I am looking for better facilities for digitising audio cassettes or someone with a digital audio recorder. I am also looking for anyone who can interview or contribute news and people who can take part in discussions or even sketches as the programme won't be all serious. In fact there will be a humorous side to the programme. As I say in the test programme, this could become a world wide forum for men's issues which we don't have anywhere else.

Audio interview - Destruction of Marriage
Barry Worrall, author of many The Cheltenham Group publications, was interviewed for the March 2002 edition of the Men's Hour, talking about the destruction of marriage, the implications for men, and what needs to be done.
The interview sums up the present situation which men face, and indicates that remedies must come from our MPs, and that a permanent remedy must include written laws and restrictions on judges. It's a compact but readily assimilated form.

An interesting group in Australia. John Abbott, of the group, explains their approach, and which illustrates the depth of feeling.

To get Windows Media Player go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/en/download/default.asp and download it free. For Real Player go to www.real.com and down to the bottom of the page where it says "Top Free Downloads" and pick RealPlayer 8 Basic. It will go to another page that mentions Real Player 8 Plus (nearly $30). but half way down the page is the free version, RealPlayer 8 Basic.
Either player will probably do. Both run to about a 9MB download, but the minimum version of RealPlayer is about 5 MB. Both will offer you the choice of various internet radio stations. RealPlayer is better on speech, such as the Men's Hour.
We will standardise on the Windows Media Player where possible.
Download either one and install it, then the player should load when you click on the link.
Download times :
Where possible, we indicate the size of file for download. All audio and video material have significant download times using a 56K modem, you will simply have to accept that.
